Attention in the Time of the Pandemic

The COVID pandemic has deeply affected our daily routines and the way we pay attention to objects and events. The entire planet is undergoing a recalibration or adaptation of attention. Our group explores questions related to this phenomenon, such as: Is a sudden change in our attention practices necessarily a good thing? What opportunities are created by this sudden freedom and autonomy of our attentional capacities? Are we more addicted to social media because of the anxiety this event has created? What kinds of new practices of attention can emerge from this event, and how can they positively impact our culture and politics?
